10 Most Incriminating Types of Evidence

Footwear impressions left at a crime scene

While surfing the net today I found this interesting article on 10 types of evidence which the writer says are the most incriminating.

Obviously each crime scene will have a mixture of evidence types and the more types of evidence found the more incriminating it is.

Obviously all of this evidence must point somewhere and if it all points in one direction that’s all well and good, but what if it doesn’t? there could be any number of reasons including (but not limited to) multiple suspects, innocent people being “set up”… etc etc…but have a read, the author is spot on with most of it, but how reliable can some of this evidence be? Eye witness reports and statements? everyone sees things in a different way. No two people will ever see exactly the same thing but that’s what juries are told. Slight differences must come out or it appears the story has been fabricated. It is too perfect…

I will let you think on as you read is, and feel free to comment at the end.

Evidence is crucial for ruling out suspects, finding criminals and proving their guilt. Many criminals go to great lengths to cover up their crime and leave no feasible trace of evidence, but major advances in forensics and investigation practices have made it possible to dig up various types of evidence that are admissible in court and bring police closer to catching criminals. Here are the 10 most incriminating types of evidence:

1-Fingerprints: Fingerprints are the most incriminating types of evidence used in criminal cases because it’s one of the most reliable forms of identification. No two people have the same fingerprint, making it a truly fundamental tool for accurate identification of criminals. Only when fingerprints can’t be traced back to a person with a criminal history do they have less power in an investigation. However, if the suspects can be narrowed down, their fingerprints can be tested to see which one matches.

2-Blood: Blood is an incriminating type of evidence for various reasons. DNA can be extracted from blood to find a criminal and blood type can be analyzed to help rule out suspects. Blood splatter can also help investigators piece together crime scenes and it provides more evidence to test.

Just thoughts…

Santa Claus with a little girl

It’s been a long while since I have written my thoughts out for you all to read.

Can I just add that the support you all show is incredible. Thank you :)

Well it’s nearly Christmas.

What are you hoping for from Santa? World Peace? No need for refugee centres? A new pair of socks?

I have no idea what i would like this year other than to be left alone by the idiots who plague our lives.

Lying, cheating people who would rob their own grandma before bedtime!  Why? What does it achieve? Nothing at all, does it?

People think they can get on with life by ruining others happiness just because it doesn’t fit in with their own way of thinking. Well this is the season to be jolly and as you are a right fat git who looks like Santa on speed you can get stuffed, just like the turkey.

We all want to better ourselves (well most of us) and we want to get on in life so how can we do that?

Firstly we need a mental attitude to say to ourselves that we WILL SUCCEED and Nobody is going to get in our way.

That will start the ball rolling and we can visualise where we want to be.

With good plans laid, suddenly, that far off place of happiness is nearer than ever before.

Sound advice and assistance from friends, family and business associates is very important even if its to reassure you that they talk crap and you were right in the first place. Obviously, that is not always the case and on lots of occasions they are right while you are wrong. But is there a right and wrong? Or is it one way or another?

Advice can come from any quarter and should be listened too. It is especially important from the guys and gals who work for you. Several of my previous employers have failed to listen to the workforce and as such now have no respect in the employees eyes. What should have been simple fixes have now turned into management / workforce battles…

I love the people around me who have to listen to my goings on… they really have to put up with loads of rubbish but occasionally I really do surprise myself with the way things turn out. Especially when they turn up for the good :)

The thoughts of an entrepreneur are often random and half filled out but they lead to much bigger and better things. They also enable this world to turn (think Richard Branson, Lord Sugar, etc)…

I for one have had many many thoughts over the years and have always confided in others… then those others use that same idea and walk all over you with it.

Yes that is life, but we can all change the way we live it.

So what are you? a thinker? a doer? or a hanger-on?

Most will be hangers-on not willing to put your money where your mouth is. not willing to try something new that may not have been done before. Then there are the inspirational few who will lay it all on the line and these are a mixture of thinkers / doer’s.

To them I say carry on, the world is a much poorer place without those willing to risk it all on the flip of a coin (yes it can come down to that) but thanks also to the hangers-on. Without you the rest of us would have no friends (like some we should could mention) or no one to spur us on to be different, and want to better ourselves.

Well that is enough for now. I have no idea if this makes sense but all the best to you, yes even you hangers-on who are ripping the heart out of the country with your lies and cheating… (and yes while God is great and will deal with you, you still have to help yourself while on this mortal earth to ensure you meet him in the end)…

Just when you thought it had gone quiet!!!

Riddle of missing fingerprints on Dr David Kelly‘s ‘overdose’ pill packs

By MILES GOSLETT
Last updated at 11:22 PM on 5th December 2010

Fresh doubts have been raised over how Dr David Kelly died after police admitted no fingerprints were found on the packs of pills he supposedly overdosed on.

The public inquiry into Dr Kelly’s death found the weapons expert killed himself by slashing his wrist with a pruning knife and taking ‘an excess amount of co-proxamol tablets’.

Three blister packs of the painkiller, each able to hold ten pills, were retrieved from Dr Kelly’s coat pocket when his body was found in woods near his home.

Fresh controversy: Dr Kelly is said to have killed himself after being named as the prime source of a BBC report accusing Tony Blair’s government of lying to take Britain into war. But the lack on fingerprints on the pill packets cast fresh doubt

Only one tablet remained, leading his post mortem examination report to state he may have taken up to 29 pills.

Co-proxamol ingestion is listed as a cause of death on his death certificate.

But Thames Valley Police has now revealed that when it tested two of the blister packs for fingerprints there were ‘none recovered’.

The development is doubly significant because police have already said the knife which Dr Kelly is said to have used to cut his wrist did not have fingerprints on – nor did an open bottle of water found beside his body.

The lack of fingerprints on these items is particularly difficult to explain given that Dr Kelly was not wearing gloves when his body was recovered on July 18, 2003. No gloves were found at the scene.

Dr Kelly is said to have killed himself after being named as the prime source of a BBC report accusing Tony Blair’s government of lying to take Britain into war.

Uniquely, for an unexpected death such as his, no coroner’s inquest has ever been held.

Confusion: None of the exhibits - the water bottle nor the pill packets - was presented as evidence to the inquiry headed by Lord Hutton, picturedConfusion: None of the exhibits – the water bottle nor the pill packets – was presented as evidence to the inquiry headed by Lord Hutton, pictured

The idea that Dr Kelly took pills of any description has long been contested by those who knew him.

Mai Pederson, a U.S. military official who worked with Dr Kelly in Iraq in the 1990s, has told the Mail he suffered from ‘unexplained dysphagia’ – a syndrome that can make it almost impossible to swallow pills. Friends have confirmed this.

Police have also revealed the half litre bottle of water found next to Dr Kelly’s body had 111ml of water left in it, triggering questions about the likelihood that he could have swallowed 29 pills with the aid of 389ml of water – about half a pint.

Documents released under the Freedom of Information Act show that the third co-proxamol blister pack was not subjected to a fingerprint search but was ‘reserved for DNA’ with a ‘full profile of Dr Kelly obtained’.

But this unspecified DNA evidence – which could for example be blood or sweat – does not explain the lack of prints on the first two packs.

Fingerprint expert Peter Swann, said: ‘Fingerprint testing is a complex area. It is surprising no prints were found on any of these items.

‘It is possible there were no prints but it would be advisable to have the exhibits re-examined by an independent expert.’

It is not known if any of the exhibits have been destroyed. None of the exhibits was presented as evidence to the Hutton Inquiry.

Attorney General Dominic Grieve is currently considering whether there is sufficient new evidence to apply to the High Court for an inquest into Dr Kelly’s death.

Dr Michael Powers QC, who represents a group of doctors campaigning for an inquest, said: ‘The fact no fingerprints were recovered is odd to say the least.’
